Undergraduate Courses in English

Courses in English are available in the area of Computer Science/Technology and Engineering.   For information about such courses please contact your home coordinator or The Magellan Exchange office.

Students taking a full load typically register for 30 ECTS units (15 semester hours) which may represent seven to nine courses. Courses are broken into two 10-week modules within each semester. For North American students final examinations can be arranged prior to the Christmas vacation for the fall semester.

Beginning and Advanced Network Management courses in Network Infrastructure Design (NID) are taught in English during both semesters. With careful planning it is possible to take courses from the Communication & Multimedia Design (CMD) program in Maastricht and NID programs simultaneously, but you must travel between Maastricht and Heerlen.  Travel time between these cities is about 45 minutes using the train; cost is approximately 7.30 € round trip with monthly passes offered for 120 €.  For a summary of courses in English by subject, please click here. 

NOTE:  Since certain courses in the CMD program are offered as 10-week modules, it is possible to stay for Term 1 or Term 3 (the first ten weeks of each semester).  Please email the Magellan Exchange office and indicate your interest in this option in your application essay.

Language Courses

Students usually enroll in a Social Dutch course.
